The Reverse Advent Calendar 🎄

For the third Christmas running Derby Food 4 Thought Alliance and Derby County Community Trust have teamed up on this advent campaign, to help collect food parcels to distribute to those in need across local communities. 25 days of collecting non-perishable items will result in a full food parcel to help a family in the run up to Christmas.

The partnership between the two charities was forged at the very beginning of the Covid pandemic, when Pride Park Stadium became a main drop off point for donations in the city. Work has continued between the two organisations to support a number of residents in the city since 2020, and for the third Christmas running, supporters are encouraged to take part in Derby Food 4 Thought Alliance’s Reverse Advent Calendar campaign, where they ‘collect’ an item of tinned or dried food per day for 25 days. The result is a full food parcel, which will be distributed across local communities in the run up to Christmas.

We will be holding our own collection point during our Winter Weekender event on the 22nd & 23rd November at Bustler and encourage anyone coming, to bring along an item of tinned/canned/non-perishable foods.

We will then collate all items along with our own donations and ensure we have lots of full food parcels to take to over to Pride Park.

Alternatively you can take your own parcels to Pride Park Stadium on 4th December (12-3pm) and 5th December (4-6pm). The donation hub will be situated in Harrison's Hub at Pride Park Stadium, located in the stadium’s North-West Corner.
